Troye Sivan reworks “Easy” with Kacey Musgraves, Mark Ronson

Sivan and Musgraves play runaways in the cinematic music video.

Troye Sivan has recruited Kacey Musgraves and Mark Ronson for a sparkling rework of his single “Easy.”

Ronson ups the ’80s pop accents and subtle melancholy on “Easy,” which appeared on Sivan’s In a Dream concept EP, released in August. Musgraves, who co-wrote this new version of the song, takes over for a fresh verse and harmonizes with Sivan on a poignant chorus.

The rework arrived with a music video directed by Bardia Zeinali, who previously helmed the visual for Sivan’s Ariana Grande collab “Dance to This.” In the clip, Sivan and Musgraves play night-owl runaways who make dingy hotel rooms and sleazy dive bars their temporary homes.

Besides “Easy,” Sivan’s In a Dream EP also featured “Take Yourself Home.” It was the follow-up to his 2018 sophomore album, Bloom. Musgraves also released her last album Golden Hour in 2018. It featured the tracks “Oh, What a World,” “Rainbow,” “High Horse” and more.

Ronson, on the other hand, dropped the album Late Night Feelings last year. It featured collaborations with King Princess, Camila Cabello, YEBBA, Lykke Li and many more.
