Resident RuPaul’s Drag Race choreographer Todrick Hall has released Haus Party, Pt 1, the first in a series of Pride-themed EPs.
The seven-track project includes the previously released single “Glitter,” the cheeky song “I Like Boys” and “Chapstick,” which features RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars winner Trixie Mattel. The EP dropped alongside a video for the club-ready track “Nails, Hair, Hips, Heels.” In the clip, Hall pulls off sleek choreography and performs the song in a large warehouse with a troupe of backup dancers.
“I looked at back at the success of my last album [Forbidden] and what songs were the most popular, and people really identified with the songs that I wrote for the queer community, mostly for the dancing in gay clubs,” Hall told Billboard of his latest record. “I would go to the gay clubs and party with my friends and then go home and write music at like two in the morning, and [this EP are] songs that [were] be inspired by those [moments].”
Haus Party, Pt 1 follows Hall’s 2018 double-album, Forbidden. Stream his new release below:
