The 1975 announce new album, drop new song

The third studio album’s going to be a personal one.

Matt Healy and the rest of The 1975 are back. During a recent interview with Radio X, the “Robbers” frontman mentioned that the band’s currently working on the follow-up to 2016’s I Like It When You Sleep, for You Are So Beautiful yet So Unaware.

Titled A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, the new album is expected to drop in October. “The record’s about telling the truth. I mean, I haven’t even finished the album. It’s about two-thirds finished. It’s because I’m trying to live the truth about all those big hyperbolic things I say,” the singer-songwriter stated.

The English outfit also shared the first song off the album. “Give Yourself a Try” is an upbeat pop-rock track that’s a cross between The Cure and Joy Division, topped off with Healy’s wry sense of humor. “The only apparatus required for happiness is your pain and f*cking going outside / And getting STDs at 27 really isn’t a vibe,” he sings on a verse.
