Tate McRae, Khalid join forces on “Working”

Continuing the Canadian pop star’s streak of star collabs.

Tate McRae has joined forces with Khalid on a new single, “Working.”

On bouncy production by Joel Little, the two sing a summery ode to imperfect relationships. “Yeah, I told you from the start, I’m not perfect / Yeah, that’s why you like me so much / When I’m working, we’re not working,” they croon on the chorus.

McRae has been coming off a hot streak of star collaborations. The Canadian artist teamed up with Regard and Troye Sivan in April on the track “You,” before quickly following that up with a June feature with Blackbear on “U Love U.” In March, she put out her second EP, Too Young to be Sad.

On the other hand, Khalid most recently hopped on J Balvin’s cut “Otra Noche Sin Ti,” which will be featured on the reggaeton star’s upcoming sixth album. Earlier in March, he also featured on Justin Bieber’s Justice album on the track “As I Am.”
