Superorganism drop super weird “The Prawn Song” video

Nothing makes sense, but that’s okay.

Whimsical pop band Superorganism have just shared the video for their latest single, “The Prawn Song”—and it’s pretty on-brand (read: bizarre AF).

Directed by long-time collaborator Robert Strange, the visual opens with a retro-inspired video game sequence before we’re thrown into an eight-bit world alongside lead vocalist Orono Noguchi. Schools of wacky sea critters float by her: dancing crabs, singing dolphins and, of course, lots of prawns.

At one point, Noguchi even successfully transforms herself into the titular shellfish. “I’m happy just being a prawn,” she sings on the chorus. It must’ve been a dream come true. ?
