Nick Jonas’ fourth studio album, Spaceman, has finally landed.
The album arrived alongside an Anthony Mandler-directed visual for its title track. The clip features Jonas as an isolated spaceman who yearns to return home to his wife, Priyanka Chopra, who makes a cameo as a holographic projection.
Apart from “Spaceman,” the 11-track record also features the previously released “This is Heaven,” both of which he debuted during his recent appearance as host and musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
“Writing this album was a way to process everything that was happening in the world, the distance between us, and what matters most,” Jonas tweeted. “I released ‘Spaceman’ first to introduce you to the world and what I encountered along the way. ‘This is Heaven’ landed second to show the contrast of emotions found in distance and euphoria and how reconnecting with the ones you love can give you purpose.”
Spaceman is the follow-up to Jonas’ 2016 album Last Year Was Complicated, which included collaborations with Tove Lo, Ty Dolla $ign and Big Sean. The album is also Jonas’ first solo release since the Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019 after six years apart.
The JoBros released Happiness Begins, their first album since 2009’s Lines, Vines and Trying Times. The 14-track record included “Sucker,” “Cool” and “Only Human.” Since their reunion, they have collaborated with artists such as Diplo and also performed for NPR’s Tiny Desk series.
