Stray Kids have finally released their long-awaited debut album, Go Live.
The group wrote and produced most of the 14-track record, with additional contributions from hitmakers Armadillo, Earattack and MosPick. The LP also features previously released songs like “Mixtape: Gone Days” and “Top.”
The accompanying video for lead single “God’s Menu” features the boyband trying out different jobs, from joining a motorsport pit crew to forming a team of chefs. The song’s lyrics also delight in food-related metaphors: “Put in whatever it is / Stop hesitating and obsessing over how others think / Just pour and mix it.”
In an interview with The Korea Herald, member Bang Chan explained the song’s cooking theme. “I’ve been thinking that making a song is quite similar to cooking, as it involves a lot of ingredients and procedures. I think the song really fits into our identity,” he said.
