Seventeen are diamond thieves in retro video for “Home;run”

The lead single of their new EP, ‘Semicolon.’

Seventeen have released an action-packed video for their new single “Home;run.”

The throwback video, set in the 1920s, stars the boyband as a ragtag band of thieves who travel the world in search of a large diamond. But after getting their hands on the priceless gem, the group turn on each other in a bid to come out the final victor.

“Home;run” opens the group’s brand-new six-track EP, Semicolon, which was entirely produced by member Woozi and his longtime collaborator Bumzu. Other Seventeen members, such as Vernon and Minghao, also contributed to the lyrics.

“The semicolon is a symbol you use when you interrupt a sentence and then you keep going. [Our album] is a message for young people who are working very hard, sometimes struggling, [that it is okay to take] a break,” member Vernon said of the album’s title at a press conference, according to Teen Vogue.

Semicolon follows the group’s June EP, Heng:garæ, which featured the songs “Left & Right” and “My My.” Their last full-length album, An Ode, was released in September 2019.
