Rosalía, Travis Scott join forces on “TKN”

Their second collaboration following the remix of “Highest in the Room.”

Rosalía and Travis Scott have reunited for “TKN.” It’s their second collaboration, following the Barcelona pop star’s 2019 remix of Scott’s “Highest in the Room.”

On the reggaeton-infused track, Rosalía aggressively issues a warning to strangers. “We don’t fuck with people we don’t know,” she spits in Spanish, before joining Scott on the chorus, where they sing: “No new friends or new wounds.”

The accompanying video depicts Rosalía as a mother figure to a pack of young children, who dance and run around her while she sings. Later in the clip, the singer leads the children down the streets of Los Angeles as Scott watches from afar.

“Travis is an artist who I’ve admired a lot since the beginning of his career and I can’t imagine a better artist to collaborate with on this song,” Rosalía said in a press release, as translated by Stereogum. “I feel that now is the moment to release this song, after so many months of staying indoors, missing freedom or being with people we love. I hope ‘TKN’ gives you energy, makes you dance, and gives you strength if you’re going through difficult times.”

“TKN” is Rosalía’s third single of the year, following her March release, “Dolerme,” and January’s “Juro Que.” On the other hand, Scott recently appeared on Gunna’s latest album, Wunna, which also featured Young Thug, Lil Baby and more. Rosalía’s remix of Scott’s “Highest in the Room” opened Scott’s Jackboys project, released last December.
