Robyn joins SG Lewis, Channel Tres on “Impact”

Hear the first song to follow her 2018 LP ‘Honey’.

Swedish pop singer Robyn has teamed up with SG Lewis and Channel Tres for a new track, “Impact”.

The sheer force of Robyn’s songwriting is evident across the club-ready anthem, from the euphoric ’80s-inspired dance beat to the ever-present sparkling, fuzzy synths. Meanwhile, Channel Tres tackles the verses in between Robyn’s high-flying choruses, offering commanding yet sensual bars.

“I felt your impact / Eyes closed while I ride the wave / They love it / I’m in the haze / Thirty thousand feet, no sleep,” he sings.

“‘Impact’ is possibly my favorite record I’ve ever been a part of,” SG Lewis said in an interview with Vanyaland. “The chemistry between Channel and Robyn is so powerful, and creates something so unique. Channel is an artist I believe will go on to create a musical legacy as important as the one Robyn has already created, and to have the two of them on this record together is insane.”

The collaboration marks Robyn’s return to music since her 2018 album, Honey, which included the songs “Ever Again,” “Between the Lines” and “Send to Robin Immediately.”

“Impact” is set to appear on SG Lewis’ upcoming debut LP, alongside “Experience,” his joint track with Khalid and Victoria Monét.
