Rain returns with new solo EP, his first in four years

‘Pieces by Rain’ features collabs with Chung Ha and Jackson Wang.

Rain is back: His first solo EP in four years, Pieces by Rain, is out now.

The K-pop veteran had announced his musical comeback at the end of last year with a new jack swing collaboration with JY Park, “Switch to Me.” His new EP also features joint efforts with Chung Ha (“Why Don’t We”) and Jackson Wang of GOT7 (“Magnetic”).

On the penultimate track “Come Over,” Rain teams up with Keita, Tag and Won from the upcoming boy group CIIPHER, who will make their debut on Rain’s new label Rain Company later this year. The lovesick guitar-driven pop ballad features them pining after their dream partners with cheesy pickup lines. “After a day without you / That day is meaningless,” they gush before declaring, “I love you until I die.”
