Normani enlists 21 Savage for a remix of “Motivation”

Featuring a new, playful verse from the rapper.

Normani has linked up with rapper 21 Savage on a remix of her debut solo single, “Motivation.”

The new version retains the song’s noughties vibes but replaces the Fifth Harmony member’s opening verse with loved-up bars from 21. “One look was all it took, she know what to do / I swear she read me like a book, straight up / Be my motivation. when I come home she gon’ cook / Took her from her ex, they like ‘Savage you a crook,’” he raps.

The rework of “Motivation” is the latest collaboration from Normani, who previously worked with Sam Smith on “Dancing with a Stranger” and 6LACK on “Waves.” On the other hand, 21 recently joined Summer Walker for a remix of Jhené Aiko’s “Triggered (Freestyle).”
