Niall Horan returns with flirtatious new song, “Nice to Meet Ya”

A taste of his forthcoming sophomore album.

Niall Horan has released a brand-new song, “Nice to Meet Ya,” the follow-up to his 2017 debut album Flicker

“Nice to Meet Ya” moves away from the slow-burning folk-pop sound of Horan’s earlier work, and instead opts for an edgier, vintage rock style in the vein of U2’s “Beautiful Day.” Horan doles out flirty lines over sparkling electronic guitar riffs and a steady bassline. “I wanna blow your mind, just come with me, I swear / I’m gonna take you somewhere warm, you know j’adore la mer,” he sings.

In the accompanying music video, the Irishman suits up and struts around London with his posse, attracting the attention of several women. Later in the clip, Horan arrives at a swanky pub where he meets a mysterious blonde who slips him her phone number.

“It’s been nearly two years since I released Flicker and I can’t wait to get going again,” Horan said in a press release. “Writing ‘Nice to Meet Ya,’ in particular, was a special one for me and I’m so excited to finally share it with everyone.”
