Nam Woo Hyun starts ‘A New Journey’ with fresh EP

A funkier, dance-driven sound from the K-pop idol.

Infinite’s Nam Woo Hyun marks a new era with his latest release, A New Journey.

The boyband member pivots away from his usual repertoire of ballads for the EP, leaning instead towards a funkier, dance-driven sound. The seven-track project includes songs like the disco-influenced “Stranger” and the R&B-tinged “Rain.”

A video for lead single “Hold on Me” was also released alongside the EP. In the futuristic video, Nam searches a sprawling city for an old flame. He finally manages to get a hold of her in an empty restaurant, but she turns into pixels and disappears before he has a chance to reconnect.

A New Journey is Nam’s third release as a soloist, following last year’s Second Write and his 2016 debut EP, Write.
