MØ can be your “Imaginary Friend”

A glimpse of her sophomore record, ‘Forever Neverland.’

Ahead of the release of her new album, Forever Neverland, Danish pop star MØ has dropped a sensual new song and video, “Imaginary Friend.”

Produced by Illangelo (Fall Out Boy, The Weeknd), the lithe, seductive “Imaginary Friend” is no “Lean on.” Unlike that 2015 hit, its pop pleasures lie not in dramatic synth hooks but a quietly electric chorus, where MØ languidly chants, “Watch me, watch me, watch me with your hands / Let my body, body, body be your Braille.”

Directed by Jonas Bang and MØ herself, the video finds the artist dancing alone in a room, alternately swathed with gauzy curtains and silhouetted against a window.
