Meghan Trainor enlists Nicki Minaj for “Nice to Meet Ya”

It dropped alongside the pop singer’s new album, ‘Treat Myself.’

Meghan Trainor has teamed up with Nicki Minaj on “Nice to Meet Ya,” a cut from the former’s newly released album Treat Myself.

The song features an addictive beat courtesy of Ojivolta, who worked on Selena Gomez’s new album Rare. Trainor opens the track and handles the infectious chorus while Minaj steps in at the tail end to drop braggadocious bars. The rapper’s cameo is brief, but Onika makes it memorable with rhymes like, “I turn every head when I walk in the room / I’m pretty in real life, hit my pics with the zoom” and “Used to dumb, dumb myself down for these chickens / Now when dumb, dumb tour guys smile it be crickets.”

“Nice to Meet Ya” appears on Treat Myself, Trainor’s third full-length effort following 2017’s Thank You. Her new album also features collaborations with The Pussycat Dolls, Lennon Stella, Sasha Sloan and more. Last year, the singer dropped The Love Train EP in celebration of Valentine’s Day.
