Marina drops powerful visual for “To Be Human”

A cut off her ‘Love’ project.

Marina—formerly known as Marina and the Diamonds—has dropped an impactful music video for “To Be Human,” a cut from her latest eight-track project, Love.

On the Joel Little-produced track, the Welsh singer gets introspective and questions what it means “To Be Human” as she reflects on the current state of the world. “Still I don’t know, don’t know what it means / To be human / A real human being,” she sings.

The visual incorporates bleak scenes from protests to the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, amongst other tumultuous times in history. But the clip is also intercut with happier shots of weddings and LGBTQ pride marches.
