Lizzo steals the show with “Truth Hurts” at the BET Awards 2019

Rihanna loved the performance and so will you.

Lizzo stole the show on Sunday night’s broadcast of the BET Awards 2019 with her performance of “Truth Hurts” that even got Rihanna on her feet and cheering.

The performance opened with Lizzo and her wedding dress-clad dancers working their stuff atop a gigantic wedding cake right. She quickly brought the crowd to their feet with her energetic choreography and strong vocals. The singer-rapper then made her way down to the center of the stage, busting out her flute for a fierce solo while twerking.

For a brief few seconds during the performance, the camera cuts to Rihanna clapping enthusiastically in the audience, which sent social media into a frenzy:

Lizzo, too, noticed Riri’s support and tweeted about it herself. “That’s it… that’s the tweet ??‍♀️,” she wrote, alongside an image of Rihanna pointing at her during the performance
