Lizzo gets jazzy with instrumental rendition of “Juice”

She recreates the iconic flute scene from ‘Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.’

Lizzo isn’t one to back down from a battle. The larger-than-life musician has officially responded to a challenge by Anchorman’s Ron Burgundy—aka Will Ferrell—by recreating the cult film’s iconic flute scene with a cover of “Juice.”

In the Jake Wilson-directed clip, Lizzo hangs with Este of Haim at a jazz bar, where she gets asked to showcase her jazz flute abilities. The rapper-singer humbly accepts before diving headfirst into the song. She walks on tables and invades bathrooms as the backing band kicks in with funky bass and drums, before ending the performance by shooting fire out of her flute. Scoreboard: Lizzo 1, Ron Burgundy 0.

The Minneapolis musician also recently released “Cuz I Love You,” the title track from her upcoming full-length, due out April 19.
