Bat for Lashes—aka Natasha Khan—has shared “Desert Man,” another cut off her upcoming album Lost Girls.

The UK singer-songwriter and Sexwitch vocalist’s newest offering is a dreamy synth pop banger filled with anthemic drums and her resonant voice. “It’s hard to get high with you / And not go along with, it’s so long too / Take it slow, desert man,” she commands.

According to an interview with the Guardian, the concept of Khan’s upcoming album Lost Girls was based on a screenplay she wrote that was influenced by the ’80s horror-comedy film The Lost Boys.

“It was heavily influenced by ’80s children’s films and vampire films, many set in Portland and California. But as the songs progressed, I felt like I was writing the film soundtrack,” Khan explained.

Khan previously released the Lost Girls tracks “Feel for You” and “The Hunger,” and dropped a video for the single “Kids in the Dark.” The album arrives in full on September 6 via AWAL.
