Kylie Minogue unveils disco-inspired version of “Slow”

It also samples Donna Summers’ ’70s classic, “Love to Love You Baby.”

Kylie Minogue has released a brand-new version of her 2003 single, “Slow.”

The pop star transforms the electropop track into a retro disco tune by sampling Donna Summers’ 1975 song, “Love to Love You Baby,” which Minogue also interpolates for the reworked bridge. “Slow down and dance with me / Yeah, slow / Skip a beat and move with my body / Yeah, slow,” she croons.

The new rendition of “Slow” also dropped alongside a video that features Minogue performing the sensual track on a neon-lit set, accompanied by four back-up dancers. The clip is a cut from Minogue’s upcoming livestream concert, Infinite Disco, which will take place on New Year’s Eve.

The original version of “Slow” appeared on Minogue’s 2003 album, Body Language. On the other hand, the Infinite Disco concert is in support of her latest LP, Disco, which was released in November.
