After teasing a slew of lyric snippets on Instagram, Katy Perry has now unveiled her new song, “Small Talk,” produced by Charlie Puth.

The song, which Puth also helped to co-write with Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Johan Carlsson and Perry herself, is about the awkward aftermath of breaking up with someone. “Isn’t it weird / That you’ve seen me naked / We had conversations about forever / Now it’s about the weather, okay,” Perry sings breathily over a catchy beat.

“Small Talk” arrived alongside a vibrant lyric video that features a pair of former lovers trying to avoid an awkward confrontation with one another. The new single marks Perry’s second offering for the year, following the infectious May track, “Never Really Over.”
