Julia Michaels is no stranger to the music world. She’s a Grammy-nominated songwriter, penning tunes for the likes of Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato, but is now breaking out as a singer in her own right. And “Jump” is the starlet’s latest claim to pop stardom.
The single combines synth pop, wispy vocals and EDM-by-way-of-Chainsmokers production into one crisp, cruising tune. Trippie Redd, himself working on an album, continues his hot streak of features by dropping in on a verse—but, really, it’s all about Michaels on this one.
“Jump” is Michaels’ third solo single of 2018 so far, and is presumably off her debut studio album, which is expected to drop later this year. Listen to it here:
