Jason Derulo enlists Adam Levine for “Lifestyle”

It marks the pair’s first collaboration.

Jason Derulo has shared another preview of his fifth studio album with “Lifestyle,” featuring Maroon 5’s Adam Levine.

The catchy collaboration, which Derulo and Levine co-wrote with songwriters Casey Smith and Amy Allen, marks the first time the singers have worked together. In an Instagram post, Derulo called “Lifestyle” one of his “favorite songs” he’s done.

The track is a fun and frivolous pop production about having a materialistic partner. “You ’bout that lifestyle / Everybody knows / Diamonds ain’t got nothin’ on you, ooh, ooh / We ’bout that lifestyle / Dollar, dollar bills / Baby, would you stay if I’m broke?” the pop stars sing on the chorus.

The collab dropped alongside a video starring Derulo breaking into dance on a stage littered with gold coins. Surrounded by a troupe of sexy dancers, the pop star confidently struts around and busts his best Michael Jackson-inspired moves. Meanwhile, Levine does not appear in the clip.

“Lifestyle” is expected to appear on Derulo’s upcoming fifth album, alongside previously released “Take You Dancing” and his TikTok hit “Savage Love” with Jawsh 685. The latter was given the remix treatment featuring BTS in October.
