Hear The 1975 cover Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next”

They also performed singles from their new album in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.

The 1975’s highly anticipated album, A Brief Inquiry into Online Relationships, has produced hit after hit, so it’s no surprise they continued to bring their A game to a new BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session.

Performing tracks from A Brief Inquiry, including “Sincerity is Scary” and “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME,” the band also brought in backing singers for a soul-inflected cover of Ariana Grande’s smash hit, “Thank U, Next.”

Frontman Matt Healy praised Grande when introducing the track: “She’s had a right old tough time and I like her a lot. I think she’s cool, and she’s got a great voice. And I don’t. So I’m gonna sing one of her songs.”
