Hear Shawn Mendes’ lovesick new song, “If I Can’t Have You”

Shawn Mendes has dropped a new song following his self-titled 2018 album. The fresh track, “I Can’t Have You,” is another certified bop in the pop star’s catalog.

Co-produced by longtime collaborators Teddy Geiger and Scott Harris, the song finds Mendes declaring his love for someone special, even though his timing is off. “I can’t write one song that’s not about you / Can’t drink without thinking about you / Is it too late to tell you that / Everything means nothing if I can’t have you,” he croons.

In the single’s accompanying black-and-white visual, Mendes performs the song on a baby grand piano in an empty warehouse with a choir and while working out. Watch it unfold below:
