Hear Christine and the Queens’ new song, “Eyes of a Child”

As part of Amazon Prime Video’s ‘Hanna’ soundtrack.

Hélöise Letissier, who performs under the moniker Christine and the Queens, has unleashed a dreamy new song, “Eyes of a Child.”

Letissier penned the track for the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series, Hanna, starring English newcomer Esme Creed-Miles. “A few months ago, [showrunner] David Farr asked me if I was up for writing the theme song for Hanna,” Letissier wrote on Instagram. “Here it is now. It’s called ‘Eyes of a Child,’ and it’s as bare and vulnerable as it can be, really.”

Over a gorgeous yet sparse piano instrumental, the French singer croons, “She will come whenever I call her / But she’ll leave as soon as I sigh / She’s got the eyes of a child / And she’ll love without any sorrow.”

“Eyes of a Child” is the latest solo offering from Letissier, following her La vita nuova EP in February. The five-track project was released alongside a short film of the same name, which was directed by Colin Solal Cardo.
