Hayley Williams has rounded out her year by sharing a beautiful acoustic track, “Find Me Here.”
From its raw acoustic guitar progression to Williams’ breathy vocals, “Find Me Here” is a gem amongst the musician’s ever-growing solo discography. “‘Find Me Here’ is the feeling of surrendering your loved ones to their own, personal struggles; letting them take their time and come to their own rescue,” the Paramore singer said in a statement. “It’s a hard version of love to learn but it is an important lesson in loving someone well.”
“Find Me Here” is the last song on Petals for Armor: Self-Serenades, a three-track acoustic EP Williams dropped last week. It also features new stripped-down renditions of “Simmer” and “Why We Ever” from her debut solo album Petals for Armor.
Just over a week ago, NPR released Williams’ remote Tiny Desk Concert. The set contained a selection of cuts from Petals for Armor performed by Williams with a backing band that included Julien Baker—who sang on Petals for Armor’s “Roses/Lotus/Violet/Iris” alongside Boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers—and Becca Mancari.
