Halsey previews new album ‘Maniac’ with “Graveyard”

The record arrives early next year.

After much teasing on social media, Halsey has finally released “Graveyard.” The new single accompanied the announcement of her third studio album, Maniac, out next year.

The song dropped alongside a time-lapse video of Halsey painting a canvas in a large warehouse. At the end of the visual, it’s revealed that she’s been working on the colorful cover art of Maniac.

“The song is about being in love with someone who is in a bad place and loving them so much that you don’t realize that you’re going to that bad place with them,” Halsey told Billboard. “It’s also about learning to care about yourself enough not to follow them there.”

Maniac is due out on January 17, 2020 via Capitol Records. The LP is her follow-up to 2017’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom and will feature “Graveyard” alongside the previously released “Without Me,” according to Apple Music.
