(G)I-DLE lead the pack in video for “Lion”

The girl group’s third release of the year.

K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE have released a fierce video for their latest single, “Lion.”

In the clip, the group perform on lavish sets decked out with gold furniture as well as paintings and statues of lions. “Don’t seek what you can’t have, a lion holding the fort / I may turn violent / Now turn up the cheers, everyone look up / The young lion takes its crown,” they sing. The visual also features scenes of the K-pop idols overlooking a pack of lions roaming a castle.

“Lion” was originally released on Final Comeback, an EP featuring songs by contestants of the South Korean reality show Queendom. The project also includes tracks from K-pop girl groups Mamamoo, AOA, Lovelyz and more.

In June, (G)I-DLE dropped the ’90s-inspired song “Uh-Oh.” Earlier in the year, they released their sophomore EP, I Made, which featured the single “Señorita.”
