EXO’s Baekhyun drops old-school video for “Bambi”

It’s his final solo release before military enlistment.

Baekhyun of EXO has released a video for his new single, “Bambi.”

The singer stars in the visual as a wandering loner on a glitzy, old-timey train reminiscent of the Orient Express. He explores the various cabins, where he stops for a drink at a bar and flirts with a mysterious woman. “You’re my only Bambi, Bambi / It’s a perfect night for you / Come down, night rain, night rain / Dripping down on us all night until the morning,” he sings.

“Bambi” is the title track of his third solo EP, which also includes the song “Amusement Park,” following Delight and City Lights. The record is also his final solo release before his mandatory military enlistment sometime in April.

“I think with ‘Bambi,’ I’m turning into an adult from a boy. It shows the more matured Baekhyun,” he said during an online press conference, per The Korea Herald. “If the previous album had been about evolving, with this album, I tried to make those changes into mine. The album also emphasizes my vocals more, with less movements in the choreography compared to ‘Candy’ but portraying a larger vocal range.”
