Eun Jiwon of Sechskies returns with ‘G1’

The South Korean rapper’s first solo album in a decade since ‘Platonic.’

After ten long years, South Korean rapper Eun Jiwon of K-pop OG boyband Sechskies is finally back with fresh solo material. His new album, G1, is out now.

According to a press release, the LP comprises nine tracks that tell “various stories and messages [about love, break-ups and life].” Eun was also heavily involved in the album’s creative process, with songwriting and production credits on five songs, namely “How We Do,” “I’m on Fire,” “Sexy,” “Worthless” and “Hooligan,” featuring Mino of Winner.

G1, a play on ‘Jiwon,’ marks the rapper’s solo debut under YG Entertainment. He signed to the record label back in 2017.
