Ed Sheeran has released the music video for “Put it All on Me,” his collaboration with Ella Mai from his latest album, No. 6 Collaborations Project.
The video features Sheeran and his wife Cherry Seaborn dancing in a kitchen, alongside couples from a range of places including New York, California and Zanzibar sharing tender moments in front of the camera.
The MV also gives more insight into Sheeran’s relationship with Seaborn. “Back in high school, Ed and Cherry were crushing hard,” the video explains. “They made out at the castle on the hill. A few years ago they reconnected, there were fireworks. They married in January 2019.”
In an Instagram post, director Jason Koenig revealed that the video’s four-person team took 16 flights to complete 17 separate shoots over 18 days to capture a comprehensive visual of love around the world.
Following the music video’s release, Sheeran took to Instagram to announce he was taking time off to unwind: “Hello all. Gonna go on another break again. The Divide era and tour changed my life in so many ways, but now it’s all over it’s time to go out and see some more of the world.”
