Dido returns with new single, “Hurricanes”

She’s also mapped out her first tour in 15 (!) years.

Dido has announced her fifth record, Still on My Mind, and unveiled the new single, “Hurricanes.”

Her first single since the 2013 release “End of Night,” “Hurricanes” was written with Rick Nowels and her brother Rollo Armstrong, of Faithless fame. Halfway through, the track takes an intriguing left-turn into trip-hop territory, which should excite longtime fans.

The English singer’s last record, Girl Who Got Away, peaked at number five on the UK charts, while her first two LPs, 1999’s No Angel and 2003’s Life for Rent, are among the UK’s top-selling studio albums. Sales of the former stand at 3.1 million, while the latter has sold 2.9 million copies.

Still on My Mind will drop March 8 on BMG, after which Dido will embark on her first tour in 15 (!) years. The 27-date tour will take her from Europe to North America between May and June 2019. Head to her website for more info.
