Demi Lovato goes “Solo” with Clean Bandit

The pop princess and dance maestros drop a major banger.

The last time Demi Lovato teamed up with a UK dance juggernaut, we got “Instruction,” her killer collab with Jax Jones. And now, she’s at it again—this time joining Clean Bandit on “Solo.”

As you’d expect from the pairing, it’s a dance pop party starter. Lovato’s amazing voice is still front and center, but the production’s full of twisted vocal loops, guitar strums, and handclaps.

“Since you been gone, been dancing on my own / There’s boys up in my zone / But they can’t turn me on,” Lovato sings on the bridge. It’s clear that a relationship’s gone south, but that ain’t stopping the party. Instead, the pop superstar’s happy to do it solo.

“Solo” combines all of the things that make both Lovato and the Bandits such forces in contemporary pop—which means twice as much goodness to soundtrack your weekend.
