Delacey releases solo debut, “My Man”

Think “Jolene,” but more assertive.

Los Angeles artist Delacey, who got her start as a songwriter for Halsey and Zara Larsson, has launched her solo career with the song “My Man.”

The folksy track begins with a bold opening line—“Bitch, don’t steal my man”—before progressing into an honest depiction of insecurities and relationships.

“I spilled my guts out and wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable,” Delacey told Billboard. “In a way, I wrote this project for selfish reasons in hopes that people will connect with it and I won’t feel like the craziest person in the world anymore.”
