Coldplay release stirring “Cry Cry Cry” music video

Co-directed by Chris Martin’s partner, Dakota Johnson.

Coldplay have released a touching video for “Cry Cry Cry,” a cut from their latest album, Everyday Life.

The clip, filmed in London’s Rivoli Ballroom, chronicles the relationship of a couple from their puppy love phase to their twilight years, all of which unfolds on the dancefloor. The visual is the directorial debut of actress Dakota Johnson—also frontman Chris Martin’s partner—who worked on the video with co-director Cory Bailey.

Besides “Cry Cry Cry,” Everyday Life also features the songs “Arabesque,” “Orphans” and “Champion of the World.” The record, which arrived last November, was the band’s first since 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams.
