Coldplay debut new song “Everyday Life” on ‘SNL’

The title track of their forthcoming album.

Coldplay recently dropped by Saturday Night Live to perform of “Orphans” and premiere “Everyday Life.” The latter is the title track of their forthcoming album, out later this month.

The British band opened their SNL performance with an uplifting rendition of the previously released “Orphans.” They returned later in the night to debut “Everyday Life,” a captivating piano ballad about the common challenges and triumphs people face.

“’Cause everyone hurts, everyone cries / Everyone tells each other all kinds of lies / Everyone falls, everybody dreams and doubts / Got to keep dancing when the lights go out,” frontman Chris Martin sings on the chorus.

Soon after their SNL performance, the band released the studio version of “Everyday Life” on streaming platforms. The song is the third release from Everyday Life, following “Orphans” and “Arabesque.” The record arrives November 22 via Parlophone.
