Charlie Puth remixes 5 Seconds of Summer’s “Easier”

From co-writer to featured artist.

Charlie Puth co-wrote 5 Seconds of Summer’s latest single, “Easier”—and now he’s come on board for an official remix of the track.

“Easier,” which the Australian pop rock band dropped in May, was co-written by Puth alongside Ryan Tedder, Louis Bell, Ali Tamposi and Andrew Watt.

“Why you always lookin’ at your phone / Watchin’ people you don’t even know / I could lay here by myself alone / I don’t want us to be enemies / So I’m thinkin’ maybe I should leave / ’Cause you’re bringing out the worst in me,” Puth sings on the new opening verse, before delivering his own take on the chorus.

Puth has laid low in 2019 so far, though he did co-write and co-produce Katy Perry’s brand-new single, “Small Talk.” 5 Seconds of Summer, on the other hand, are expected to release a new album soon.
