Charli XCX teams up with Tommy Genesis on “Bricks”

The track first appeared in the 2018 film, ‘Assassination Nation.’

Charli XCX and Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis have released a new collab titled “Bricks.”

On the track, which first appeared in the 2018 cult film Assassination Nation, the artists trade Auto-Tuned bars over AG Cook’s booming production. “Stackin’ bricks with the gang, gang / 3am in the fast lane / Out in Bangkok with the girls in the Phantom / Drop the bricks with the bricks in the mansion,” Charli spits.

Charli and Genesis previously linked up on a remix of the latter’s 2018 song, “100 Bad.” Genesis also recently supported Charli on the North American leg of her Charli Live tour.

Earlier this year, Charli XCX released her long-awaited third studio album, Charli. The record featured collaborations with Christine and the Queens (on “Gone”), Lizzo (“Blame it on Your Love”) and Troye Sivan (“2099”).
