Charli XCX resolves to drop an album this year

A New Year’s resolution we all hope she sticks to.

Charli XCX was a busy woman last year, dishing out loosies like “1999” and “5 in the Morning” when she wasn’t guesting on other musician’s songs. But in 2019, it looks like she might actually drop a full-length project.

On Instagram yesterday, the British pop star revealed her simple New Year’s resolutions: “1. Make an album. 2. Release it.” After all, it was “about time, right?” she asked in the caption. Her fans and followers, who’ve probably played her late 2017 mixtape Pop 2 too many times to count, wholeheartedly agreed.
