Camila Cabello drops heartfelt “First Man” video

Featuring home videos of her and her dad.

To coincide with Father’s Day this past weekend, Camila Cabello released a heartwarming video for “First Man,” starring her own dad.

Taken from Cabello’s 2019 sophomore album Romance, “First Man” was dedicated to her father, Alejandro. The pop star penned the song alongside Amy Wadge and Jordan Reynolds, and described it as her “proudest” moment as a songwriter, she told Radio.com.

In the accompanying visual, the father-daughter pair sit together in an empty white room to watch a touching compilation of their home videos from over the years. “I know you’ll stay up late just waitin’ for me / You held me so tight, now someone else can / But you were the first man that really loved me,” Cabello sings on the chorus.

“Thank you for showing me what love is and for showing me how to be loved,” Cabello wrote in the video’s YouTube description. “I will always be your little girl ❤️ te amo mucho papa, thank you for being my hero.”

“First Man” is the latest cut off Romance to receive the visual treatment. Cabello previously released the video for “My Oh My,” which later got remixed by Gunna.
