BTS have announced the release of their latest album, Map of the Soul: Persona, due out April 12.
The upcoming record marks the start of a new era for the K-pop juggernauts after they completed their Love Yourself trilogy last August. It comes hot on the heels of a banner year for the septet, who became the first South Korean act to top the Billboard 200, with last May’s Love Yourself: Tear. They also broke into the top 20 of the Hot 100 twice with smash hits “Fake Love” and the Nicki Minaj-assisted “Idol.”
Map of the Soul: Persona follows a string of solo projects by the group’s members, including V’s “Scenery,” Jimin’s “Promise” and “Song Request,” which is a collaboration between Suga and LeeSoRa. The record will also be released ahead of their 2019 stadium world tour, Love Yourself: Speak Yourself.
