K-pop juggernauts BTS have made their highly anticipated return with Map of the Soul: Persona.
The sonically diverse seven-track EP includes the RM solo track, “Intro: Persona,” “Jamais Vu” which only features members J-Hope, Jin and Jungkook, as well as the Ed Sheeran-assisted “Make it Right.”
In a press statement, BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment described the EP as “a nod to the band’s past while showcasing their maturity and newfound understanding of love and the ever-widening world around them. The tracks have a clear message: finding joy in love and reaching out to the world.”
“We find strength and happiness in every moment,” BTS said in a separate statement. “You’ve given us so much love, and now we want to get to know our fans more. We filled our album with our genuine feelings and the messages that we want to share with you.”
Persona was released alongside a vibrant video for its lead single, “Boy With Luv,” featuring Halsey. The boys pull off their usual sleek, high-energy choreography on flashy set pieces. Halsey takes part in the dancing, too, and proves she’s got a couple of moves.
