BTS connect with Nicki Minaj for alternate version of “Idol”

The queen of rap comes through with a fiery verse.

Last week, BTS unveiled their comeback track “Idol,” as part of their latest album, Love Yourself: Answer. And after hinting at a potential collab with Nicki Minaj, it looks like the boys have confirmed the rumors by dropping an alternate version of their lead single, featuring a cameo by Chun-Li.

The song, which appears on the digital edition of their record, is a rambunctious dance anthem that combines elements from pop and hip hop with touches of Gqom peppered throughout. Minaj only makes a 30-second appearance towards the end of the song, but the Queen rapper sure leaves her mark. She enters with her signature flow and name drops everything from Gucci to John Mayer.

“Uhh what’s good Korea / You know I been a boss for my whole career / I’m ’bout to jet in the Lear,” she spits.
