Billie Eilish turns heads with her ‘SNL’ debut

Gravity-defying performances of “Bad Guy” and “I Love You.”

Billie Eilish recently made her Saturday Night Live debut with a room-spinning performance of two When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? cuts, “Bad Guy” and “I Love You.”

The 17-year-old pop star kicked things off with a dizzying version of her chart-topping single, “Bad Guy.” During the performance, Eilish walked on walls and the set’s ceiling before revealing it was all an optical illusion.

Later in the show, Eilish returned for an acoustic version of “I Love You.” The pop star sat center-stage and delivered a passionate rendition of the touching song. “Maybe won’t you take it back / Say you were tryna make me laugh / And nothing has to change today / You didn’t mean to say ‘I love you’ / I love you and I don’t want to,” she sang.

Eilish is the latest singer to make her debut on SNL, following K-pop juggernauts BTS in April. The Jonas Brothers previously graced the show with performances of “Sucker” and “Cool,” from their Happiness Begins LP.
