Billie Eilish has the time of her life in the video for “Lost Cause”

She certainly seems ‘Happier Than Ever.’

Billie Eilish has dropped “Lost Cause,” yet another new single from her sophomore album Happier Than Ever.

Over a sparse beat lead by tight basslines and airy keys, she wryly looks back a disappointing former partner. “Thought you had your shit together, but damn, I was wrong / You ain’t nothin’ but a lost cause / And this ain’t nothin’ like it oncе was / I know you think you’re such an outlaw / But you got no job,” she sings.

Released on June 2, the “Lost Cause” video—directed by Eilish herself—takes on a significantly brighter tone compared to her past visuals. In the clip, she dances and goofs off in a joyous house party with her friends, playing darts, video games and Twister.

“YEEEEEEEEE 😭 we had the time of our lives being hot & shooting this heeheeeeeehee🤗🤗🤗🤗 ENJOY LOL,” Eilish wrote on Instagram upon the video’s release.

The song follows last month’s “Your Power,” which she later performed with Finneas on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Last year, she also released the tracks “My Future” and “Therefore I Am.”

Happier Than Ever, Eilish’s follow-up to her 2019 debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, is due for release on July 30. Watch the “Lost Cause” music video here:
