Bebe Rexha, Doja Cat time-travel in “Baby, I’m Jealous” video

The duo wrestle with unfaithful men throughout the decades.

Bebe Rexha has unveiled a glamorous video for her new Doja Cat-assisted single, “Baby, I’m Jealous.”

Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, the clip opens on Bebe and Doja at a fancy Chinese restaurant when they discover that the singer’s boyfriend has been acting “shady” on Instagram. “I’m so over social media,” Bebe declares. “Could we go back in time to the 1800s? I bet the girls back then didn’t have to deal with any of this.”

Soon enough, a fortune cookie grants her wish and they travel back in time to different eras—from the 1960s to the 18th century and even the dawn of creation. Yet, no matter what time period they seem to land in, men continue to disappoint. “’Cause insecurity told me you don’t love me / All it takes is a girl above me,” Bebe laments before Doja chimes in to call these unfaithful partners “trash.”

“Baby, I’m Jealous” is expected to appear on Bebe’s as-yet-untitled sophomore album. In an earlier statement on social media, the singer said that the follow-up to her 2018 debut Expectations will arrive once “the world is in a better place.”

“I know my fans are super frustrated because they want new music. I promise you my team and I have been working harder than ever,” she wrote. “This is the best project I have ever worked on and the album is my absolute favorite. I cannot wait for you to hear it. It’s just that we don’t feel like it’s right to release an album during these times. As soon as the world is in a better place we will release it all. We are just waiting for when the time feels right. I promise you it is worth the wait.”
