Astrid S shares playful video for “Dance Dance Dance”

It’s the lead single from her upcoming debut album.

Astrid S has released “Dance Dance Dance,” the lead single from her forthcoming debut album.

The accompanying music video, directed by the singer herself, opens with a conversation between Astrid S and Norwegian actress Thea Sofie Loch Næss. In their chat, the conflict-avoidant Astrid reveals how she would take out her anger on people in real life by mistreating characters of them in the video game The Sims.

The two friends later share ideas of their dream music video, which magically become the actual video in an alternate reality. Astrid S then joyfully dances her problems away against vibrant backdrops that include a peach Beetle convertible, an array of flowers and a majestic sunset by the beach.

“Dance Dance Dance” was co-written by Astrid S with Jack & Coke and Litens Anton Nilsson. “Hope it makes you wanna get up and dance, call a friend to say ur having a bad day and need a drink or get that one extra push up hehe,” the Norwegian singer shared on Facebook.

Prior to this, Astrid S collaborated with country singer Brett Young on their crossover song “I Do,” as well as NOTD for the electronic pop hit “I Don’t Know Why.”

The singer has yet to reveal the title and release date of her debut album. While you wait for more details, watch the feel-good video for “Dance Dance Dance” below:
