A new Ariana Grande era is finally upon us: The pop star has released her first comeback single, “Positions,” the title track of her upcoming sixth album.
The song, which Grande co-wrote with longtime collaborator TBHits and London on da Track, dropped alongside a flashy video helmed by acclaimed director Dave Meyers. In the clip, Grande becomes the President of the United States, splitting her time between running the Oval Office and cooking up hearty meals for her First Man.
“Switchin’ the positions for you / Cookin’ in the kitchen and I’m in the bedroom / I’m in the Olympics, way I’m jumpin’ through hoops,” she sings on the chorus.
Grande announced Positions last week on social media, adding that the record will drop at the end of October. “I can’t wait to give you my album this month,” she tweeted.
The album, which is her sixth, will be the follow-up to Grande’s 2019 Grammy-nominated LP, Thank U, Next. Earlier this year, the pop star teamed up with Justin Bieberand Lady Gagafor “Stuck with You” and “Rain on Me,” respectively.
